Belonging to the World Church
Getting Involved
Most people share in Belonging to the World Church through
meeting partners when they visit the UK, but every year many
also get to experience the life of our partners for themselves.
Through receiving or travelling we can enter into other
people’s experience and glimpse the world as they see it.
Synods, through global partners, are entering into the experience
of people in such places as Cuba, Mozambique, Taiwan and India,
and discovering diff erences and similarities which are challenging
and renewing faith, leading to new commitment and fresh action.
As a congregation you can get involved by inviting visitors
to share in your life, or encouraging one of your members
to volunteer through World Exchange, or suggest that your
minister pursue an international ministry exchange.
Every church can use the Going Global material produced by
the Belonging to the World Church and Commitment
for Life programmes, or the resource materials produced
by CWM on a range of world church issues and concerns.
