Belonging to the World Church

Solidarity with partners

Through Belonging to the World Church the United Reformed Church also expresses its solidarity with partners in particularly diffi cult situations.

In Israel/Palestine, not only do we support the Palestinian Agricultural Relief Committees (PARC) but also the Ecumenical Accompaniment Programme for Palestine/Israel (EAPPI) (see picture) with Commitment for Life financial support, and continually witness to what we hear through the email bulletin Moving Stories.

In Angola and Mozambique we are working with the church to establish new training opportunities for their members as they recover from years of devastating civil war. In Myanmar/Burma we are assisting the church in its humanitarian work in remote areas. In places as diverse as Pakistan and Zimbabwe we are making representations on behalf of our church partners as they face human rights abuses.

You can share in all of this and find out more about Belonging to the World Church by visiting our website: www.urc.org.uk/international
